Recently, the Day Care Service at the Mother’s Association Ha Wan Integrated Elderly Services Centre organised the ‘Thank You for Being There – Father’s Day Event’ . The event was themed around a nostalgic dim sum restaurant, with the décor recreating the atmosphere of such an establishment, featuring elements such as dim sum menus, teaware and a dim sum trolley to evoke a sense of familiarity and resonance among the elderly. This was followed by interactive sessions including an orientation activity, a ‘ordering’ game and a taste challenge, allowing the elderly and their families to relive the charm of traditional dim sum restaurants together. The elderly participants threw themselves into the games with enthusiasm, and the venue was filled with constant laughter; everyone was very satisfied with the event. The event concluded on a high note with the dim sum trolley serving up delicious treats and a group photograph, as everyone enjoyed the festive occasion together in a warm and lively atmosphere.
