Welcoming Spring and Blessings to Celebrate the New Year - New Year's Worship

To enable residents to uphold traditional customs, maintain community connections and experience the festive atmosphere, the Mother's Association Hoi Wan Integrated Elderly Services Centre organised a ‘New Year Worship’ event on Wednesday, 28 January. Seven elderly residents and their family members were invited to visit the renowned Tam Kung Temple for worship. Accompanied by their loved ones, the seniors offered incense with sincere prayers for blessings, creating a heartwarming scene brimming with festive spirit.
Throughout the event, the elderly, accompanied by their families, offered incense with devotion within the temple, praying for good health, peace, and smooth sailing in the new year. The atmosphere was solemn yet warm, permeated with the traditional spirit of the Lunar New Year. This activity enabled the centre's residents to practise their religious beliefs and customary traditions during the festive period. More importantly, it allowed them to experience the warmth of the season through the companionship of their loved ones.
