As the Spring Festival approached, the Guidance Office of the Primary Section of Salesian School visited the centre on 24 January to extend early New Year greetings to the elderly residents.
On the day, young volunteers personally delivered heartfelt ‘lucky red packets’ to the seniors, conveying warm festive blessings. Students also joined the elderly in crafting Spring Festival couplets, filling the venue with a vibrant festive atmosphere. During the visit, the elderly residents shared nostalgic photographs with the young volunteers, recounting stories of life in Macau and recounting tales of the city.
This event brought joy and companionship to the elderly residents while allowing the students to appreciate the wisdom and care of their elders. The entire afternoon unfolded in a warm and pleasant atmosphere of intergenerational harmony.
