Recently, the Day Care Service at the Mother's Association's Sheung Wan Integrated Elderly Service Centre hosted the fourth quarterly birthday celebration for its ‘Joyful Seniors’ programme. This event provided a festive occasion for seniors celebrating birthdays during the season, fostering social interaction to enhance their sense of belonging and create a memorable birthday gathering.
On the day, staff meticulously decorated the venue and prepared short videos introducing the birthday celebrants to deepen mutual acquaintance. Exquisite cakes and refreshments were served. Amidst the lively rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’, attendees congratulated the honourees and engaged in interactive games, with all participants demonstrating enthusiastic involvement and a vibrant atmosphere. Each birthday celebrant received a personalised gift as a token of sincere wishes. Participants unanimously described the event as warm and enjoyable, expressing eagerness to reunite for the next seasonal gathering.
