Mid-Autumn Festival: Love Fills the Moment

To mark the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Mother's Association's Shek Wan Integrated Elderly Services Centre Day Care Service recently hosted the ‘Mid-Autumn Full of Affection, Love Gathered in This Moment’ event. Through festive activities including lantern-making workshops, communal lunches, games and riddle-guessing, the programme fostered warm interactions between elders, family members and volunteers, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere. Combining cognitive stimulation with festive traditions, the elderly participants demonstrated vitality and creativity as they concentrated on completing their crafts with assistance. One attendee remarked that the event not only fostered emotional connections but also strengthened bonds among the elderly, allowing them to savour the festive atmosphere and create cherished memories together.
