The event was held under the motto of “Friendship first, competition second,” with seniors participating in the entire planning and decision-making process: jointly designing the competition events, team flags, and slogans, and adding a torch relay opening ceremony and athlete oath-taking ceremony. The sports meet featured three team competition events, with seniors selecting suitable events based on their physical abilities with the assistance of staff.

Participants were fully engaged in the event, with one participant stating, “It was particularly rewarding to complete the task by working together as a team!” The event effectively boosted the seniors' confidence and social interaction, with over 80% of participants successfully completing at least one competition.

This event was organized through cross-departmental collaboration, combining the expertise of social workers, nurses, and physical therapists. In the future, the event plans to introduce more diverse competition events to allow more seniors to enjoy the fun of sports and delay functional decline.
