The Mother’s Covenant St John’s Nursery (New Port) held a ‘Parents’ Forum and Parent-Child Picture Book Workshop’, The teachers explained what to expect once the children had started at the nursery (including various educational activities, the children’s daily routine, self-care skills and information on childhood infectious diseases). Following the session, under the guidance of the teachers, the children and their parents took part in morning exercises, picture book reading, games and craft activities together, with the aim of fostering the children’s interest in reading and strengthening the parent-child bond.
